New to the page this week was the 'Chuck Chill Hip Hop Report' and we finally get to see what Chuck Chill looked like and it wasn't quite what I expected to be honest. Not being to stereotypical but I was expecting a trainer/tracksuit clad B-Boy not some guy wearing leather from head to foot together with a scalf !! Usual reveiws and news plus a brief mention about Future Shock, Goldie and the Supreme Team all from the UK.

Street Scene Hip Hop No.16
Great interview from Chuck Chill with the late Scott La Rock and Blastmaster KRS1 from 12:41 about the great track 'Success is the Word'. Usual news, reveiws and weekly chart included.
Street Scene Hip Hop No.15
This week we had another Chuck Chill interview, this time around it was The Fat Boys who gots his attention, plus the usual news and reviews. There's also a short write up on a Rock Box all-dayer in London.
Street Scene Hip Hop No.14
Double page spread on British graffiti artists The Chrome Angelz was the highlight of this issue. Also included was a small piece on The Wild Bunch from Bristol. Didn't agree with the two stars that was given to the Original Concept track 'Can You Feel It?' in the review section and the 'Electro Top 40' chart leaves the hip hop pages to join all the other charts from within the magazine on their own designated page in the main mag.
Street Scene Hip Hop No.13
It's Doug E Fresh turn this week to be interviewed by Chuck Chill. Nothing else of note apart from a very short write up on what seemed to be rather dsappointing Def Jam launch party in the UK. A strange choice with a couple of the photo's that accompanied the piece especially when there were live PA's to photo on the night.
Street Scene Hip Hop No.12
This week we see ground breaking changes to the record review system. We now have a three star system; three stars is 'essential vinyl', two stars is 'worth picking up if you have any money left' and one star is 'only for fanatics'. Another short piece on the UK's Hardrock Soul Movement and a short write up on The Shure Shock from London holding nice classic hip hop poses for the camera !!
Street Scene Hip Hop No.11
Two page interview with Run DMC by Chuck Chill from America who becomes a frequent contributor to these pages, eventually getting his own regular column entitled 'Chuck Chill's Electro/Soul Report'.
Street Scene Hip Hop No.10
Includes a 'Hip Hop Jams' write up from USA and England featuring The Wildbunch from Bristol, together with the usual news and 'Electro Rap Top 40' chart.
Street Scene Hip Hop No.9
Three pages this week including a very cheesey picture/caption of Kurtis Blow. Also there is a piece on The Last Poets book 'Vibes From The Scribes'.
Street Scene Hip Hop No.8
Nice short piece on Whiz Kid starts off this weeks page. His 'Play That Beat Mr DJ' was one of my early hip hop faves, 'play that favourite song of mine and accept my calls on the request line'. Awesome stuff !! Think he could have done a bit better with his cassette player. The one I owned was about twice the size, twin desks and had detactable speakers although nothing in comparason to the one LL Cool J was carrying with him around that time. Also included is a piece about Full Force together with lyrics to 'Alice, I Want You Just For Me'. Sorry but I didn't quite 'get' Full Force at all.
Street Scene Hip Hop No.7
The page name changes to Hip Hop while Electro Talk is relegated to a sub heading. Thought the Hip Hop title was a bit boring to be honest, even adding the word talk or news would have been a vast improvement. I've still no idea what is going on with the two breakers/poppers on the P of Hip in the title. Sadly the page was shorter this week, only one and a half pages long. WTF !! Fortunately things would improve in the next issue. Nice advert for Electro 10 though at the bottom of the second page. Typical Street Sounds style !!
